About This Class
The Young Explorers Class is a year-long creative skill-building journey designed to introduce children to the world of printmaking, embroidery, natural dyeing, and global textile arts through fun, hands-on learning experiences. Throughout the year, students develop fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, patience, focus, and creative problem-solving while exploring traditional crafts from around the world.
Through block printing, beginner embroidery, stitching, pattern-making, and textile-based art projects, children gain confidence in working with their hands while learning the value of creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling. Each session encourages imagination, exploration, and self-expression in a supportive and engaging environment.
As students progress through the program, they build a portfolio of handmade work that showcases their growing artistic and technical skills. The year culminates in a special student exhibition and showcase, where young artists proudly present their creations to family and friends, celebrating their creative journey and accomplishments.
