About This Class
Textile Art Lab is a skill-building creative program designed to introduce children to the rich world of textile arts through hands-on exploration of printmaking, embroidery, natural dyeing, and surface design. This class encourages young artists to build strong foundational skills while expressing their creativity through meaningful, culturally inspired art projects.
Throughout the year, students develop technical ability, artistic confidence, and creative problem-solving skills as they work with fabric, color, pattern, and texture. Each session blends traditional craft techniques with fun, age-appropriate projects that encourage experimentation, focus, and imagination.
Students gradually build a portfolio of textile artwork, learning how to plan, design, and complete creative projects from start to finish. The program also nurtures patience, attention to detail, and pride in handmade work.
The year concludes with a special student exhibition where young artists showcase their textile creations, celebrating their progress, skills, and creativity with family and friends.
